St. Joseph Catholic Elementary is deeply committed to providing our students with an education that not only nourishes their minds but also their souls in a safe, Catholic, Christ-centered environment. Our mission is to educate the whole child, and we take pride in the holistic education that we offer.
Because we understand the financial difficulties many families face, we work diligently to keep tuition costs as low as possible. With these efforts, tuition covers only about 87% of our yearly operating expenses, highlighting the significance of the Annual Fund in sustaining our educational mission. Because of our Annual Fund, we are able to expand the horizon while living our mission to the fullest. Your contribution matters because it goes straight to expenses like these:
- Educator Salaries and Raises: Ensuring that we attract and retain the best teachers and support staff who are dedicated to our students’ success and our school mission
- Facility Maintenance: Keeping our campus safe, comfortable, and conducive to learning
- Academic Excellence: Equipping our students and educators with the best and most updated resources available to enhance academic excellence

For over 65 years, St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Thibodaux has been a cornerstone of faith-based education, nurturing the minds and hearts of countless students. As we continue this proud tradition, we now face a critical opportunity to elevate our facilities and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all. Thanks to the generous support of the iGiveCatholic community, the St. Joseph Men's Club, and our dedicated Parent-Teacher Club (PTC), we have successfully raised the funds needed to renovate three of our existing bathrooms. But this is just the beginning! We still face the pressing need to enhance the facilities our children and school community rely on every day. To continue providing a safe, welcoming environment, we are campaigning to raise $80,000 to renovate the remaining school bathrooms. Your support is vital in helping us achieve this goal! In 2006 St. Joseph became the first Catholic elementary school in the Houma-Thibodaux Diocese to receive accreditation from the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and is now accredited by Cognia along with all other schools in our Diocese via the systems accreditation process.
